The intention of this broth is to offer the nourishment necessary to meet the stressors of daily life with a healthy foundation that is rooted, adaptive, and fortified. Containing a combination of deeply nutritive herbs, adaptogenic roots and mushrooms, cleansing flowers, antioxidant-rich berries and aromatic culinary spices, this broth supports a strong, responsive and resilient immune system.*

Promotes:

- a healthy immune system response

- healthy gut flora (contains prebiotic inulin)

- resilience to stress (physical, emotional and environmental)

- detoxification

- clear channels of elimination

4 oz dried herbs

Benefits

Burdock: this bitter, oily root is one of the foremost plant allies for supporting biotransformation (detoxification) in both Western and Chinese herbal medicine. When the body is clear of what it no longer needs (toxins, excess hormones, heavy metals, etc.) it is better able to focus on acute conditions that may arise, such as viral or bacterial infections*

Dandelion Root and Leaf: one of the few plants where all parts of the plant (root, stem, leaf and flower) can be used medicinally, this plant is a detoxification ally, nearly unmatched. The leaf is a diuretic, supporting healthy elimination by way of the kidneys without depleting potassium, and the root supports the liver in clearance of waste. Together dandelion can reduce inflammation and inflammatory conditions that often show up on the skin, in the joints, and through digestive challenges*

Reishi: this beautiful, shiny shelf mushroom is a tonic to the parasympathetic side of the nervous system, helping the body to rest, digest, and restore. Reishi can also reduce autoimmune hyperreactivity, rebuild an exhausted system, regulate healthy blood clotting and offer protection to the liver*

Astragalus: a sweet, warming root, well known in traditional Chinese medicine, is adaptogenic in nature, helping the body to adapt to external influences, such as cold and flu, by increasing immune surveillance. Astragalus is also an energy-building tonic and helps the body to gain resilience and endurance*

Nettle: this dark green, stinging leaf supports a balanced immune response, especially in the case of allergies or inflammatory conditions. Nettle, because of it's highly nutritive nature, can build healthy blood and support the elimination of what the body is ready to biotransform (detox), therefore boosting vital energy flow*

Calendula: vibrant orange flowers that encourage lymph flow (the clear fluid that travels through the lymphatic system and carries cells that help fight infections and other diseases) and counter stagnation, therefore supporting healthy immune surveillance and clearance*

Elderberry: the dark purple berries of this tree, attached to so much European folklore, have been shown in traditional use and modern research to aid in the healing of viral infections. Being rich in vitamins A and C, Elder offers anti-inflammatory and antioxidant support that can keep the immune system functioning optimally*

Ginger: this warming and aromatic root has a special affinity for supporting healthy blood flow and has been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory and antiviral activity in the digestive and respiratory tracts*

Thyme: the volatile oils of this traditional, warming culinary herb have been shown to be strongly antiseptic, an effective remedy for viral, bacterial and fungal infections, and highly antioxidant, supporting the body's normal function and countering the effects of aging*

Rainbow Peppercorn: the fruits of the Piper spp. plant, native to India, contain volatile oils that are stimulating and antiseptic to the digestive and circulatory systems most notably. Piperine, one of the main active constituents, has been shown to exhibit immunomodulatory, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticarcinogenic effects on the body*

Rosemary: the warming, aromatic leaves of the rosemary plant have a longstanding use as a tonic, invigorating herb, imparting zest for life. Rosemary has been shown to promote healthy circulation, improving memory and concentration, and support recovery from long-term stress*

Bay Leaf: the aromatic and warming leaves of the bay laurel tree, long sacred to the Romans, associated with Apollo and Asclepius who oversaw healing and medicine, can be supportive in healthy digestion and absorption, assisting the body in the breakdown of food*

French Grey Sea Salt: Grey salt is harvested from clay-lined pools on the Atlantic coast, imparting the salt with minerals from the clay including iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc and manganese - all important for healthy immune function*
